Three Days in June

Pick it up: If you want a quick read that will get you out of a reading slump. If you want to read about simple characters that you care about - Tyler captures this "ordinariness" perfectly. If you need a read about second chances.
Gail Baines is a middle-aged mother navigating the weekend of her daughter Debbie's wedding. A school administrator, she goes into work on Friday only to be told by the soon-to-retire principal that Gail might be replaced as well, that leads her to simply walk out and go home. The arrival of her ex-husband, Max, on her doorstep later that day is equally unexpected, but he has a rescue cat with him and cannot stay with Debiie whose fiancee is allergic. She lets him in and they settle into a familiar enough routine as they prepare to attend the rehearsel dinner and the wedding on the following day.
When revelations about the bridegroom surface suddenly, Gail and Max are caught up in this, each having their own view on what Debbie should do, all of which stirs up past events in Gail and Max's lives.
A gentle, realistic, and heartwarming novel about ordinary people and their everyday lives.
